This village has a number of people involved in agriculture. This place is noted for the self-employed beedi workers. Most of the women are involved in beedi making. And one soap manufacturing factory is running near to this village, it is called Sakthi Industrial at Venkateswarapuram. Daily wages is one of the main income for people. Many youngsters have a degree; however, they have to go to Chennai, Bangalore and other places for employment, as opportunities have yet to come near this area.
