Until his death in 1992, the company founder, Kurt A. Körber, was the sole owner of the Körber AG. The entrepreneur, who remained childless, had already decided in 1969 that the Körber AG would be left entirely after his death to the Körber Foundation, and that it would annually receive a portion of the profits from the Körber Group as a dividend.[2]
