Biography

Born and raised in Al-Salt, Ghunaimat completed a degree in political science at the University of Jordan.[1] She held different positions in Jordanian and Arab media, including as in Al-Ra'i and Al-Sijill newspapers. Her designation as editor in chief of the Al-Ghad newspaper in late 2011 made her the first woman in the Middle East to be editor in chief of an Arab daily.[2] She was appointed to be Jordan's Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson by Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on 14 June 2018.[3]
