Johyun

Shin Ji-won (Hangul: 신지원; born April 14, 1996), better known by her stage name Johyun (조현), is a South Korean singer, rapper, actress and television personality under JTG Entertainment. She is a member of the girl group Berry Good, having joined the group for their second mini album Glory in 2016.

Personal life

Johyun was born as Shin Ji-won in Seongnam, South Korea, on April 14, 1996.[1] She was active as a short track skater from elementary school to the first year of junior high school before suffering an injury that made her quit,[2] and going to study abroad.[3] In 2006, she came first place with a record of 49.51 seconds in the 500m race for female elementary 3rd-4th graders at the 9th National Men's and Women's Short Track and Speed Skating Competition.[3] She became an idol trainee in 2013.[2]

She studied Broadcast and Entertainment at Dongduk Women's University.[1]

Career

Johyun was introduced as the new sixth member of Berry Good in late October 2016.[4][5][6] She made her official debut on November 1, 2016, with the release of Berry Good's second mini album Glory.[7] In October 2017, Johyun joined the reality survival show Mixnine.[8] She finished the show in the 24th place, and was eliminated.[9][10]
