John Laband
John Laband (born 18 March 1947) in Johannesburg is a South African historian and writer, specialising in Anglo-Zulu and Boers wars who lectured in history for 42 years at various universities in South Africa, England and Canada.[1][2][3]

Biography
Laband has published many books about the military history of southern Africa and the history of the Zulu nation and the Anglo-Zulu war of 1879 in particular. John Paul Clow Laband is Professor Emeritus and Chair of History at Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada, and is a Life Member of Clare Hall, Cambridge University, England.[4]
