Jim Kennedy (infielder)

James Earl Kennedy (born November 1, 1946) is a former professional baseball player. He played part of one season in Major League Baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1970, appearing in seven games as a shortstop and five games as a second baseman.

Jim was a standout athlete at Arvin High School. He was originally signed by the New York Yankees in 1966 as a free agent, and was acquired by the Cardinals prior to the 1970 season through the Rule 5 draft.

Jim's younger brother, Junior Kennedy, also played in MLB from 1974-83.
