Jens van Daele
Jens van Daele (1972 — 21 June 2020) was a Belgian born dancer and choreographer, who moved to the Netherlands. He started his career at Ballet royal de Wallonie, Belgium. Later he moved to the Netherlands and danced at “Introdans” in Arnhem and at other places. For his role in “Spring van Rogie&Company” he was awarded the “Zwaan” award (nl) in 2004, this being the most prestigious dance award in the Netherlands.[1]
From 1999 he started making his own choreography.[1] In 2008 he stopped dancing to focus fully on making choreography.[2]
Personal
Van Daele was born in Belgium. He had four sisters and one brother. He died from esophagus bleeding on 21 June 2020, aged 48.[3]
