J. Goldsteen Dupree
J. Goldsteen Dupree (1846 – 1873) was a state legislator in Texas.[1] He was a Republican.[2] He testified against two fellow African American legislators who were then unseated for having received intelligible votes.[3] Dupree was murdered, allegedly by white vigilantes.
