János Becsey

János Becsey (born 2 February 1968) is a retired Hungarian Paralympic swimmer who competed in international level events. He has competed at the Paralympic Games six times and won five medals, he is also a double World bronze medalist. He was inspired to do swimming after watching the 1976 Summer Olympics when he was eight then began training aged 16.[1][2][3]

Becsey has cerebral paresis on his right side due to oxygen deprivation and a stroke when he was a baby.[4]
