International Monohull Open Classes Association
The International Monohull Open Class Association (IMOCA) was founded in 1991. Its main task is organising regattas and single-handed circum-navigation regattas. Since 1998 IMOCA is member of the ISAF (International Sailing Federation).
IMOCA designed the class regulations for a number of ocean racing yachts, called IMOCA 50 and IMOCA 60. IMOCA organizes the Ocean Masters World Championship[1] and is the sanctioning authority for the Barcelona World Race.[2]
