The wingspan is 18 mm. The forewings are grey‑brown and rather broad in terminal half. The markings are dark brown and consist of a discal spot, an oblique spot before the base of the cleft and a poorly developed spot at the anal angle of the first lobe. The hindwings are dark grey‑brown. Adults are on wing in June and July.[1]
