Hans Scheepmaker

Hans Scheepmaker (15 March 1951 – 1 August 2020) was a Dutch television and film director and producer.

Scheepmaker was born in Leidschendam. In 1984 he made his directorial debut with the Baantjer film Moord in extase. He also directed the international war film Field of Honor (1986) and If you fall in love (2012).

In addition to well-known films, Scheepmaker has also made productions for television. For example, he was involved in Onderweg naar Morgen and directed episodes of series such as Goudkust, Flodder, SpangaS, Westenwind and Unit 13.[1]

Scheepmaker died in Den Haag on 1 August 2020 after he was attacked in his home by wasps and was stung over a hundred times.[2][3]
