Hamid Naweed
Hamid Naweed (Persian: حامد نوید) is an Afghan-American writer and art historian.[1][2]
Naweed received his MFA from State University of New York at Buffalo after which he thought Art History and Aesthetics at Kabul University.[3] As a Fulbright scholarship, he authored a number of articles on Afghan art.[4][5] He is on the advisory board of The Alliance for the Restoration of Cultural Heritage[6] as well as a correspondent for C-SPAN[7] and contributor for NPR.[8]
Naweed is the author of two books, one on Rumi[9] and another on Afghan art history[10] for which he was recognized by the Afghan Embassy in Washington DC.[11]
His screenplay for Loori won the Best Screenplay Wward at New York Film Festival.[12][13] Currently he hosts a regular TV show exploring art on Zarin TV.[14]
