Gunvor Pontén

Gunvor Margareta Pontén (born 11 February 1929) is a Swedish actress who graduated from Dramatens elevskola in 1954. She has appeared in 60 films and television shows since 1949.[1] She starred in the film Leva på 'Hoppet', which won the Silver Bear (Comedies) award at the 1st Berlin International Film Festival.[2]

Gunvor Pontén is the daughter of Ruben Pontén and Dagny Carlqvist.[3] She is also a cousin of fashion designer Gunilla Pontén and actor Tomas Pontén.[4] After graduating in 1948 she started acting school at Terserus teaterskola 1948–1950, and Dramatens elevskola 1951–1954.[5] She has worked within the field of acting at Stadsteatern, Folkteatern in Gothenburg and Oscarsteatern.[5]

She made her film debut in 1949 in the film Skolka skolan and has since then acted in over 50 film and television productions.[6][1]
