Godwin Friday

Godwin Elliot Loraine Friday[2] (born in 1959) is a politician in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Godwin is also the New Democratic Party Northern Grenadines candidate for 2020 Vincentian general election.[3]

In the 13 December 2010 general election Godwin Friday was elected to the House of Assembly for the Northern Grenadines.[4] He retained his seat in the 2015 election.[5]

Education

Friday earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor of Laws from Queen's University in Canada.[6] He graduated with a Master's degree in history from Waterloo in 1985.[7] In 1989, he graduated with a Doctorate in political studies from Queens.[8]

Career

In 2016 Arnhim Eustace, the party leader and opposition leader of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, resigned, which left Friday with the position as party leader and opposition leader.[9][6][10]
