Glow-throated hummingbird

The glow-throated hummingbird (Selasphorus ardens) is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is native to the Talamancan montane forests of western Panama and generally is found along edge habitats.[2]

It is threatened by habitat loss. The population is currently decreasing, with an estimation of less than one thousand left forming a single subspecies.[3]
