Glaphyria spinacrista is a moth in the family Crambidae. It was described by Maria Alma Solis and David Adamski in 1998.[1] It is found in north-western Costa Rica.

The length of the forewings is 6.5-6.7 mm. The ground colour of the forewings is pale brown, with pale brown scales tipped with brown, intermixed with pale brown scales. The hindwings are similar to the forewings.

Etymology

The species name refers to the spined ridge of the ostium bursae in the female genitalia and is derived from Latin spina (meaning thorn) and crista (meaning ridge).[2]
