His team was the runner-up to North Carolina in the 1922 SoCon Tournament.[3] He was a running guard and "sharpshooter".[4] His unorthodox style of dribbling once got fouls called on him.[5] He also played on the football team.

He was inducted into the Mercer Hall of Fame, with no relatives attending.[2][6]
