George Boardman (footballer, born 1943)

George Boardman (born 14 August 1943) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as an inside forward. Active in both Scotland and England between 1960 and 1973, Boardman made over 350 League appearances, scoring nearly 100 goals.

Career

Born in Glasgow, Boardman began his career with Petershill, before playing in the Scottish Football League with Queen's Park, and in the Football League with Shrewsbury Town and Barnsley.[3]

Personal life

His son Craig was also a professional footballer.[4]
