In January 2020 the consolidated company had over 380 stores across India out of which around 350 are franchise stores, making is "Asia's largest online shopping store for kids & baby products."[2] FirstCry opened its first outlet in Srinagar in May 2019.[3] It is into its series E round of financing.[4]
Mergers and acquisitions
In 2016 FirstCry acquired BabyOye, owned by the Mahindra Group, for ₹362 crore (equivalent to ₹419 crore or US$59 million in 2019).[2][5] The merged entity now does business under the name - FirstCry.com, a FirstCry Mahindra Venture.[6][7] The company acquired playschool company "Oi Playschool".[1][8]
Their competitors are MamaAndPeaches, Nestrey, MenMoms, LilAmigosNest, Hopscotch, PinkBlue etc..
