Fernando

Fernando is a given name and a surname common in Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Switzerland, former Spanish or Portuguese colonies in Latin America, Africa and the Philippines, India and Sri Lanka (the name was introduced there during the Portuguese occupation). It is equivalent to the Germanic given name Ferdinand, with an original meaning of "adventurous, bold journey".[1][2]
