Fazlur Rahman (politician)

Fazlur Rahman (1905-1966) was a Member of the 2nd National Assembly of Pakistan as a representative of East Pakistan.[1]

Birth and early life

Fazlur Rahman was born in 1905 village Shinepukur, Dohar, Dhaka. He obtained his MA in 1929 and his BL in 1933.[1]

Political life

Fazlur Rahman was a Member of the 2nd National Assembly of Pakistan.[2] He was a member of the Working Committee of the Bengal Provincial Muslim League and a member of the Central Committee of the All Pakistan Muslim League. He was elected a member of the Bengal Executive Council in 1937 from Dhaka city. After the partition of India in 1947, he was the Minister of Education, Trade and Refugees in the Central Government of Liaquat Ali Khan. In 1951–1953, he was appointed Minister of Education and Commerce in the Union Cabinet headed by Khwaja Nazimuddin.[1]

Death

Fazlur Rahman died in± 1966.[1]
