Faristenia furtumella

Faristenia furtumella is a moth in the family Gelechiidae.[1] It is found in the Russian Far East, Korea and Japan (Honshu).[2]

The wingspan is 14–18 mm. The forewings are paler than those of related species, the costal patch is trapezoidal and there are irregular short dark fuscous streaks. The hindwings are grey.[3]

The larvae feed on Quercus mongolica.
