Faramarz Tamanna
Dr. Faramarz Tamanna (Persian: فرامرز تمنا, born on 14 February 1977 in Herat) is an Afghan politician and the chancellor of University of Afghanistan in Kabul.[1][2] He was Director General of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Afghanistan).[3] He holds his PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi, India) in International Studies and also from Tehran University in International Relations.

Dr. Tamanna has previously worked as Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has held other positions in Afghan diplomatic missions abroad. He, also, has taught in several universities.
He is the author of two books (“Afghanistan’s Foreign Policy” and “US Foreign Policy towards Afghanistan”) and tens of articles covering security and international relations.[2]
