Participation details
Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, on 8 March 2020 FIBA Europe announced the cancellation of all summer 2020 Youth European Championships,[1] including the 2020 FIBA U18 Women's European Championship, which would have decided the 5 European teams for this tournament. Hence, the top 5 European teams, apart from hosts Hungary, were chosen according to the Women's Youth Rankings of 4 March 2020:[2]
