Evelyn Mora

Evelyn Mora (born Kimia Moradzadeh; April 9, 1992) is a Finnish entrepreneur and the founder of Helsinki Fashion Week.[1][2][3][4]

Biography

French-Finnish Mora is also of Iranian descent through her mother.[5] Born in Vaasa and raised in Helsinki, Finland, Mora worked as a fashion photographer in Paris and London before returning to Finland.[4][6] She purchased the trademarks of the Helsinki Fashion Week and re-launched the event in 2014.[7] In 2019 the event banned the use of leather in garments shown during the week.[8][9] Vogue has described the event as the "first 100% fully sustainable fashion week".[10]

Mora is a board member of the Nordic Fashion Association.[11]
