Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev

Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev served as agriculture minister in the Government of Turkmenistan, appointed by then-President Saparmurat Niyazov on 25 January 2006.[1] Minister Orazgeldiyev replaced Begenc Atamyradov, whom Niyazov fired for "grave shortcomings" in his performance. Niyazov said, "We are making big investments in the agrarian sector, which amount to billions of [dollars], but there is no sign of efficiency." Orazgeldiyev previously worked as the rector of Turkmen Agricultural University.[2]

Orazgelidiyev subsequently served as governor of Dashoguz province. On 9 July 2015, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov appointed him deputy prime minister for the agricultural complex.[3] In that capacity, Orazgeldiyev attended the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in November 2015 as part of the official delegation of Turkmenistan.[4]

On 3 February 2021, Berdimuhamedov issued to Orazgeldiyev a "stern reprimand with final warning" for "grave shortcomings" in his performance.[5]
