Eric Barone (developer)
Eric Barone, also known by his alias ConcernedApe, is an American video game developer, video game designer, artist, composer, and musician. He is most notable for creating Stardew Valley.[2]

Early life and education
He moved to Seattle at a young age and lives there to this day.[2] Barone grew up loving video games and computers. He cites the Harvest Moon series as his favorite as a child.[2]
He attended the University of Washington Tacoma and graduated in 2011 with a degree in computer science.[2]
Career
Barone began working on Stardew Valley in 2012 and released it in 2016. He was praised for creating the game entirely independently.[3] He did everything from making the characters, writing the dialogue, creating the music, and animating every pixel.[4] To this day Barone refuses to hire a team and prefers to work independently.[4]
Barone announced that he is working on several new games with at least one of them set to be in the world of Stardew Valley.[5] Another game that he is working on is planned to be tied into the Stardew Valley universe.[5]
