Endtime Ministries

Endtime Ministries is an American Pentecostal Christian organization.[1][2] It defines itself as a teacher of biblical prophesy[3][4][5] founded and headed by minister Irvin Baxter Jr.. The organization is based in Plano, Texas.

It focuses on explaining world events from its view of the Bible, with an emphasis on prophecy and exposition of eschatological theories. These tend to follow a general Pentecostal and Fundamentalist/Evangelical exegesis, with emphasis upon various modern nations as being allegedly prophesied in the Bible, and events heralding the impending advent of the Antichrist. Some of these predictions include a new world war that will kill up to two billion people, and the identification of Britain, the reunified Holy Roman Empire, Russia and Germany with the "four beasts" of the Book of Daniel.[6]

Endtime Ministries produces a Biblical prophecy magazine, Endtime Magazine, together with an internationally syndicated radio talk show, Politics and Religion which is heard on stations such as KLNG, KPSZ, KKPZ, and KYFI, among others. It has also created a series of Bible study and prophecy books.

Controversy

In 2020, Endtime ministries applied for and received $150,000 or more from the Small Business Administration’s Payroll Protection Program. At issue is repayment or loan forgiveness. Endtime relies on contributions through sales of it’s magazine, Internet presence, and radio broadcasts. As a non-profit organization, Endtime ministries pays no taxes to the federal government. [7]

Couple with the ministries insistence that large government and socialism are the downfall of the United States and subject to manipulation of conformity with the coming one world government, a controversy has arisen within the organization which questions it’s managerial decision to obtain funds from the federal government while promoting the notion that competition in a free open market will eliminate the need for social government programs.

Irvin Baxter Jr. also in 2020 suggested that the coronavirus pandemic was a warning from God about the “sin of fornication”. [8]died Nov. 3 of complications from COVID-19, his Plano-based ministry announced.

In 2006, Endtime Ministries hosted a rally in its home city of Garland, Texas to protest the REAL ID Act of 2005, which Baxter linked to the Mark of the Beast prophesied in Revelation 13:15-18.[9][10]
