As the route is yet to be fully electrified, it is hauled by a Vatva Diesel Loco Shed based WDM 3A locomotive from Okha upto Vadodara handing over to Vadodara Electric Loco Shed based WAP 4E locomotive take the train till Lucknow Charbagh where New Guwahati based WDM 3A twins locomotive complete its remainder of the journey until Guwahati.
