Donika Rudi

Donika Rudi[1] (born 7 June 1982 in Pristina, is a Kosovar composer of mostly chamber, electroacoustic music and acousmatic music. Her compositions have been performed in Kosovo, Albania, France, Columbia, Switzerland, Portugal, Australia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Canada, Spain, Belgium etc.

Her compositions where aired on Radio Spain - UNDÆ! Radio, France Musique (at Christian Zanési radioshow), Dutch National Radio (Café Sonore), “Sonema Lab”, Portuguese National Radio (Arte Eletroacústica). She works as artistic director of ReMusica Festival - Prishtina International Contemporary Music Festival. Since 2010 she is the member of FEBEME - BEFEM (Fédération belge de musique électroacoustique) in Belgium and a member of CEC (Canadian Electroacoustic Community).

Education

She finished post-graduate composition studies at the Royal Conservatorium of Mons, Belgium, respectively the acousmatic music composition in the class of Annette Vande-Gorne and Ingrid Drese. Rudi also studied composition with Mendi Mengjiqi at the University of Prishtina, Kosovo from 2000 until 2002. She then studied composition with Nicolas Bolens, Éric Gaudibert and Michaël Jarrell and electroacoustic music with Rainer Boesch, Émile Ellberger and Luis Naón at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève, Switzerland from 2002 until 2006.
