Dillon Stith

Dillon Stith (born May 2, 1992) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Melbourne United of the National Basketball League.[1] He played college basketball at St. Vincent College.[2]

College

For the 2010–2011 season, Stith attended St, Vincent, an NCAA Division III program in Pennsylvania, U.S.A. As a freshman, he averaged 5.2 ppg and 3.7 rpg, while also contributing 17 blocked shots.[2] His sophomore season would see him average 9.8 ppg and 5.6 rpg which was enough to lead the team that year.[2] In his final season at St. Vincent, Stith was named to the All-PAC second team, after averaging 11.7 ppg and 5.2 rpg. His defensive prowess was again on display, blocking 28 shots and registering 25 steals.[2]

Professional

Stith arrived in Australia after trying out for a tour team in Indianapolis, Indiana.[3] After successfully making the tour team and playing well in front of the Australian teams he was offered a contract to play for the Melbourne Tigers by National Basketball League legend Andrew Gaze.[4]

McKinnon (2015-2019)

The following season, Stith would sign with the team he would play for the next couple of years, the McKinnon Cougars of the Australian state league the Big V. In his first year, he averaged 21.8 ppg and 7.1 rpg.[5] He followed that up in 2017 with a line of 19.9 ppg and 8.6 rpg.[5] His final season with McKinnon he posted his best numbers of his career: 26.5 ppg and 11.2 rpg.[5] His efforts would land his second MVP award and his third Big V All-Star Five selection, in addition to the premiership (championship).[6]

Knox (2018-2019)

On 6 November 2019 Stith officially joined the Knox Raiders of the NBL1.[6]

Melbourne United (2019-2020)

Prior to signing his first NBL contract, Stith had trained several times with the team. When players were unavailable due to injury, his name was frequently called in order to fill in. He also had experience in preseason NBL games.[7] He signed with the team officially after a lagging injury to star player Casey Prather, and averaged 1.8 ppg in 5 minutes of playing time.[3]

Frankston Blues (2020-2021)

On January 27, 2021 Stith signed a one-year deal with the Frankston Blues of the NBL 1.[8]
