De Beaumont Foundation

The de Beaumont Foundation is a charitable foundation in Bethesda, Md. It was created in 1998 by Pierre S. (Pete) de Beaumont, the founder of the Brookstone Company, with the broad purpose to relieve human suffering.[1] Mr. de Beaumont chose to make public health the focus of the foundation's work. The foundation was fully funded upon Mr. de Beaumont’s death in December 2010.[1]

The foundation's mission is to advance policy, build partnerships, and strengthen public health to create communities where people can achieve their best possible health.[2]

The foundation is led by Brian C. Castrucci, DrPH, MA, whose previous experience includes the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Philadelphia Department of Health, the Texas Department of State Health, and the Georgia Department of Public Health.[3]
