David Levine (medical administrator)

David Levine is a health administrator from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

He earned his Bachelor in Civil Engineering from McGill University, a Master in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, England, a Master's degree in Health Administration from the University of Montreal.[1]

In 1998 he was the centre of heated public controversy when he was appointed CEO of the new, combined, Ottawa Hospital. The controversy had nothing to do with his medical qualifications; it was centred on the fact that he had been a member of the Parti Québécois.[2][3]

The controversy was the subject of the book by Randal Marlin, The David Levine Affair, by Fernwood Publishing.[4]
