Dave McMurray
Dave McMurray (born February 20, 1955) is an American jazz saxophonist from Detroit, Michigan.

Music career
As early as 1972, McMurray began playing with the avant-garde jazz ensemble Griot Galaxy. After leaving a career as a social worker, McMurray joined Was (Not Was)[1] in 1981. He played on each of the group's albums and toured with the band. In addition to his solo work, he has worked with B.B. King, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, Bonnie Raitt, Patti Smith, Bootsy Collins, Herbie Hancock, and Bob James.
