Darko Pivaljevic began his career with Serbian topflight club Red Star Belgrade. After short spells with Čukarički Stankom and Mladost Lučani, he signed a contract with Belgian First Division outfit Royal Antwerp.
A transfer to German First Division club 1. FC Köln didn't turn out a huge success, so he returned to Belgium and played the 2001-2002 season for Charleroi SC on loan.
After a spell with Serbian club Rad Beograd, Pivaljevic again returned to Royal Antwerp to help them secure their First Division place. After the relegation however, he signed a new contract with Cercle Brugge where he played from 2004 till 2007.
Pivaljevic returned to Royal Antwerp for a third spell in 2007 and ended his professional career with the club in 2011.
He is still playing football in the lower leagues in Belgium, recently playing for Belgica Edegem.
Pivaljevic has always been a fan favourite, and is known for some unbelievable goals when playing for Royal Antwerp.
