Cristina Gonzáles Romuáldez (born May 1, 1970) is a actress and a former politician.[1]

Personal life
She is the daughter of the late actor José Mari Gonzáles.[2] She has a younger sister, Anna Margarita Gonzales, a former actress. Gonzales is of Spanish and British ancestry from her mother's side.[3]
She is married to Alfred Romualdez (mayor of Tacloban City and nephew of Imelda Marcos). She served as city councilor from 2007 until 2016.[4]

Controversies
In 1993, in an affair dubbed as Brunei Beauties by the Philippine government, Christina Gonzáles were among the names linked to the controversy.[5]
During the 2016 Philippine Election Cristina's daughter Sofia, who was under age that time, posted on Twitter questioning Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo qualification for the vice-presidency which contained foul language and offensive statement in her tweet.[6] In a post on her Facebook, Romualdez apologized and said she did not approve of the words her daughter Sofia used in the controversial Twitter post.[7]
Return to Showbiz
After 15 years in politics, Gonzales signed with Viva Artists Agency last January 29, 2021 as she makes a showbiz comeback.[8]
