Courtney Howard
Courtney Howard (born November 7, 1978)[1] is a Canadian ER physician who is President of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment,[2][3] as well as a board member with the Canadian Medical Association,[4] Associate Professor at the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine,[5][6] and a former candidate for the leadership of the Green Party of Canada based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.[7]

Howard attended Simon Fraser University and went to medical school at McGill University.[2] She is especially concerned about how climate change affects her northern patients. Howard has been featured or published in The Lancet,[8][9] People Magazine,[10] The Conversation,[5] the National Observer,[11] and other publications.[12][13]
