Clitocybe amarescens

Clitocybe nitrophyla is a species of agaric fungus in the family Tricholomataceae. Widely distributed in northwestern Europe, it was described as new to science in 1969 by Finnish mycologist Harri Harmaja.[2] It fruits in groups or in fairy rings in grasslands.[3] Amarescens signifies "tending to bitterness".
