Christine Sonali Merrill
Christine Sonali Merrill (born August 20, 1987 in Bakersfield, California)[1] is a Sri Lankan athlete.[2] She competed in the Women's 400m hurdles event at the 2012 Summer Olympics but ranked 30th and was eliminated in the first round though she broke her own seasonal record with 57.15 seconds.

Her personal best of 56.45 also ranks as the national record of Sri Lanka.[3]
She qualifies for Sri Lanka through her mother.[1] She also holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, San Diego.[1] She won eight All-American honours for the university, and won the NCAA Division II 400 m hurdles title.[1] She won the bronze medal in the event at the 2011 Asian Championships.[1] She also competed at the 2011 Athletics World Championships.[1]
