Chandrakant Bacchu Patil
Chandrakant Patil (born 10 June 1959), fondly called Chandrakant-Dada Patil, is an Indian politician who is State President BJP Maharashtra since 2019. [1] He was the Cabinet Minister in Maharashtra State, for Revenue and Public Works Department (excluding Public Undertakings), until 12 November 2019. A prominent member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he was a Guardian Minister for Kolhapur & Pune district, and also appointed as the President of Maharashtra BJP in 2019.

Early life and education
Fondly known as Dada Patil by his supporters, he was born on 10 June 1959. His father, Bacchu Patil, used to serve tea to mill workers. He spent his childhood days in the Prabhudas chawl in Mumbai. He received his initial schooling from the Raja Shivaji Vidyalaya (formerly known as King George High School), Dadar. He graduated from the Siddharth College (Fort) in 1985. He inaugurated the PWD CASI Road Safety Maha Walkathon 2019[2] which started from the Mantralaya main gate.
Political career
He was introduced to the Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at the age of 18. In 1980, he started working as a full-time activist for the ABVP. In 1982, he was appointed as the 'Pradesh Mantri'. In 1985, Patil was elected as 'Kshetriya Sangathan Mantri' of the ABVP where he focused on the problems of the youth and student issues. During 1990, Dada Patil was elected as the Akhil Bharatiya Mantri of ABVP. At this time, he travelled to different districts of India to make people aware of social issues and addressed problems related to the education sector and the youth. I 2004, that he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and was elected as its Vice President in 2013. In June 2014, he was appointed as a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council. In October 2014, he was elected as Cabinet Minister of Maharashtra. He has been holding the Cabinet Minister office since July 2016 and handling the revenue, relief & rehabilitation and Public Works department.[3][4][5][6][7][8] He is currently not a minister.
