Chūichi Date
Chūichi Date (伊達 忠一, Date Chūichi, born January 20, 1939) is a Japanese retired politician of the Liberal Democratic Party who previous served as a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Ashibetsu, Hokkaido and high school graduate, he was elected to the House of Councillors for the first time in 2001 after serving in the prefectural assembly of Hokkaidō. He was a former President of the House of Councillors.
