Ceara Conway
Ceara Conway (born 1977) is Independent Irish Contemporary visual artist, vocalist and performance artist from the Connemara Gaeltacht region in County Galway, in the west of Ireland.[1] Conway has a BA in Glass and Architectural Glass from Edinburgh College of Art and studied Community & Public Arts Education at the National College of Art and Design and Glass & Photography at Alfred University, New York.[2][3]

She is known for her experiential performance works that utilise live singing, appropriated texts, testimonies and visual art to explore social and cultural experiences of power and loss in response to issues such as cultural colonialism, migration and feminist concerns. Her powerful singing performances encompass world folk traditions including her native Irish singing style of sean-nós, Portuguese Fado, Arabic, Georgian and Latin Chant.
