Carlos Sanabria

Carlos Miguel Sanabria (born January 24, 1997) is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals organization. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Houston Astros.

Career

Early career

On March 7, 2014, Sanabria signed with the Houston Astros as an international free agent. That year he played for the Astros minor league affiliate in the Dominican Summer League. From 2015–2019 in the minors for the Astros, Sanabria played for the GCL Astros, Greeneville Astros, Tri-City ValleyCats, Quad Cities River Bandits, Buies Creek Astros, and Fayetteville Woodpeckers, and reached as high as the Double-A Corpus Christi Hooks.

Houston Astros

Sanabria was called up to the majors for the first time on August 1, 2020.[1] He made his major league debut on August 5 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, giving up two runs in an inning of relief.

Kansas City Royals

On October 30, Sanabria was claimed off waivers by the Kansas City Royals. On December 1, 2020, Sanabria was designated for assignment.[2] On December 2, Sanabria was nontendered by Kansas City. On December 12, 2020, Sanabria re-signed with the Royals organization on a minor league contract.[3]
