Buddleja davidii 'Courtabud' = Operette
Buddleja davidii 'Courtabud' (selling name Operette) is a French cultivar, raised by the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique at Nancy. The cultivar was cloned from a colchicine induced tetraploid seedling of 'Opera'.[1]

Description
Operette makes a small shrub, approximately one-third the size of its parent 'Opera', but retaining the latter's long violet-lilac panicles, complemented by dark-green foliage.[1]
Cultivation
Operette is cultivated in Europe, including the UK, but is not known to have been introduced to the United States. A specimen is grown as part of the NCCPG national collection held by Longstock Park Nursery in England.[2]
