Buddleja 'White Ball'

Buddleja 'White Ball' is a hybrid cultivar developed by Horticultural Research International, at Boskoop in the Netherlands. One of the parents was the white form of B. davidii var. nanhoensis, 'Alba'. [1]

Description

'White Ball' makes a compact rounded shrub, typically growing to a height and width of 2.0 × 2.0 m if hard-pruned annually. The shrub bears small panicles of pure white flowers, complemented by silvery-grey foliage. [1] [2]

Cultivation

'White Ball' has proven very successful in commerce, and is now widely cultivated in Europe and North America. A specimen is grown as part of the NCCPG national collection held by Longstock Park Nursery, near Stockbridge, UK. [2] USDA zones 59.
