Bob Stone
Robert Lewis Stone (born 26 May 1925) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL).[1]

Family
The son of Ronald William Stone (1897-1967),[2][3] and Gertrude Amy Stone (1898-1951),[4] née Berryman, Robert Lewis Stone was born at Somerville, Victoria on 26 May 1925.
He married Jean Alison Bourne in 1949.
Football
Cleared to Melbourne from Somerville,[5] Stone's football career was interrupted by his service in the Royal Australian Navy in World War II,[6] enlisting as he turned 18 and serving on several ships until the end of the war.[7]
