Bill Butler (baseball)
William Franklin Butler (born March 12, 1947) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for seven seasons. A left-hander, he pitched for the Kansas City Royals, Cleveland Indians, and the Minnesota Twins.

Butler was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 37th round (610th overall) of the 1965 MLB June Amateur Baseball Draft out of Herndon High School in Herndon, VA.
His best MLB season was his rookie 1969 campaign, in which he finished in the top ten in strikeouts (156), strikeouts per nine innings (7.25), and shutouts (4) in the American League.
