Benedikt Ásgeirsson

Benedikt Ásgeirsson (born 7 February 1951, in Reykjavík)[1] is an Icelandic diplomat and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iceland to the Russian Federation.[2]

This is an Icelandic name. The last name is patronymic, not a family name; this person is referred to by the given name Benedikt .
