Bematistes tellus

Bematistes tellus, the orange bematistes, is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. It is found in Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and Tanzania.[3] The habitat consists of forests.

It is mimicked by males of Mimacraea apicalis.[4]

The larvae feed on Adenia species.
